There are three courses available through the summer: Greenhouse 101, Nutrient Management 1 and Nutrient Management 2. All three courses are offered in both English and Spanish.
Greenhouse 101 is an introductory level course that will help you make effective crop decisions by understanding the ‘why’ and not just the ‘how’. It’s designed for employees in production, technical or sales roles. You will learn about: plant parts and functions, photosynthesis and growth, greenhouse technology, flowering, compactness and branching, irrigation, nutrition and plant health.
The Nutrient Management courses focus on practical applications like how to take pH and EC readings and what they mean, how to read fertilizer labels, identifying nutrition problems and how to correct them and more. These two courses are designed to build on each other.
If you’re interested in learning more about these courses, see the flyer or visit their webpage.
